  18. Oil for frying

Instructions to make to make Shami kabab

  1. In cooker, add water, beef, chanay ki daal, onion, button red chilies, cinnamon stick, black cardamom, salt, turmeric powder, black pepper corns, ginger garlic paste, coriander seeds and cumin seeds.
    Bring it to boil.(Use no fat beef)
  2. Cover and cook for 30-35 mins on low flame.After meat is tender and lentil is soft and there is still water, dry it on high flame. lentil should not become mushy.
  3. If using pressure cooker, cover and cook for 10 minute.
  4. Cook until water dries and let it cool.
  5. In chopper, add green chilies, mint and green coriander, and grind.
  6. Add beef mixture now grind the ingredients very well in a food processor.
  7. After grinding the stuff, make kabab/patties of the batter with your hands.
  8. Beat egg with fork,add pinch salt and dip kabab into beaten egg.
  9. Heat oil in frying pan and fry the kabab/patties.
  10. Shami kababs are ready, serve with ketchup.
