  8. 1 cup rice
  9. 1/2 Mustard Seeds
  10. As per taste Salt

  12. 3-4 curry leaves
  13. 1 tsp jaggery powder
  14. 1 tsp curd
  15. 2-3 Sesame Seeds

Instructions to make to make Handvo

  1. Soak rice, dal for 5 to 6 hrs and then grind it in a paste(not fine paste, it should be coarsely)
  2. Add curd to this mixture and Keep this for 5 to 6 hrs for ferment. After 6 hrs, add grated bottle gourd, add all masalas, peanut powder, salt as per taste, jaggery powder, and temper it mustard seed, hing, and curry leaves.
  3. Heat a pan, add oil and sesame seed, and pour half batter evenly to make a thick layer, cover it with a lid, and cook f in a low flame till it turns golden brown and crispy.
  4. Lift the handvo gently and turn it on other side and apply oil and again cover the lid and cook till it crispy on another side also,
  5. When it is cook from both sides, remove it from the pan and cut it into pieces and cook the other half batter in the same processor you can cook all batter at a time.
  6. Enjoy your handvo with hot tea or pickle or tomato sauce.
