  8. For DANGO-
  9. 1 cup steamed rice
  10. 1 tbsp sugar
  11. 1 tbsp saffron water

Instructions to make to make Dango gulabjamun

  1. Gulab Jamun: Make a dough and Shape into golf size and marble size for stuffing. Over a gentle heat deep fry in olive oil/ghee. When golden brown, remove, drain and dip in warm syrup.
  2. Syrup: Boil together half cup sugar, half cup water, quarter tsp rose water, pinch of saffron and pinch of cardamom. Remove when it achieves one thread consistency.
  3. For Dango: combine together one cup steamed rice with 1 heaped tbsp of sugar and 1tsp of saffron water. Shape into golf-sized and marble size, place in a steamer, and steam for 10 minutes. Serve with soy sauce.
  4. Soy sauce: Boil half cup soy sauce, 2tbsp sugar and corn starch to thicken it.
